Early Morning Flowers after Rain, Rain and more Rain!

We've been blessed with rain every afternoon for...ummmmm...gosh almost two weeks! Although not an accurate rain gauge, my pool level increased almost 5 inches in just the last 3 days!

The St. Augustine grass is lovin' it! The flowers have recovered from the 100+ temperatures we had in early June. My flowers just don't bloom during those high temps.

With the remnants of Hurricane Alex passing through our part of North Texas the temps are now in the upper 80s to mid 90s, HIGH humidity when not raining and every afternoon we get storms or showers. The flowering plants are blooming like crazy and so is the grass that creeps into my flower gardens...good gosh almighty...I'll be out there pulling up grass for quite awhile!

Hope you like the photos! I love the colors!

P.S. Thank you to everyone who helped me through the events of my last post! I've replanted trumpet vine...every 6 inches along the fence line...please grow...please!

  2. LOL...good for you. You can't keep a good gardener (or their fence line) down.

    The garden looks beautiful!
    Have a great day, Lynea
